Step #1 Send an email requesting a design layout and quote and please include the following information: Size of candle, type of insert on top of candle, names, dates, poem/verse, font type, color scheme, photos or images you want included. With this information we will assemble a design layout for your review. Also include your name and a phone number where we can reach you if we have any questions regarding your request. Include the date of the event or date that you need candle.

All candles are Customized and Personalized per your request. Text can vary in script style and color, choice is yours. It is your responsibility to read all text to verify the correctness of spelling. Customized & Personalized candles cannot be accepted for refund. Images are printed on an inkjet printer and embedded on the outside surface of the candle. Color choice for customized and personalized pillar candles and hurricane candles is White or Ivory only. Due to the process used to customize and personalize our candles, 'Silver or Gold' - Metallic inks cannot be done.

If you would like to include a photo, there is a 5.00 charge per photo. If your photo is in digital format (jpg - jpeg image) attach it to your email. If photo is a print, add 2.50 for the scan ( Total 7.50 ) Mail print via US Mail to: (Frans Candles, P.O. Box 26037, Collegeville, PA 19426) and it will be returned to you with your candle. If the design layout includes front and back of candle, there is a 3.00 additional charge for the back side of candle.

Digital - Photograph and Image - Tips

If you are using a print photograph, we prefer that you send us the actual print and let us scan it. This insures the highest quality image for your design layout.

If you are scanning, upon receipt of email with scanned image, photo will be inspected for quality. If quality is determined to be less than desirable, we will notify customer ASAP.

If you are using a digital camera image, you can email us the image. We strongly recommend digital images be at least 100 – 200 KB. Images should be sent to us in jpeg (jpg) format.

When sending us a digital image, send us the full, uncompressed, non-resized version.

Resizing a digital photographic file may give you the dimensions that you want but it may not deliver the quality. When resizing digital files in a graphics application (PhotoShop, Photo Deluxe, Picture It, etc.) it is very easy to change the file's dimensions and dpi to new settings. However, doing so may actually degrade the quality of your image. Interpolation is the term used to describe how graphics applications recalculate the pixels that make up an image file and add or subtract pixels to recreate the image at the new size. We recommend leaving digital files at their original size and allowing us to resize the image.

Step #2 Upon receipt of your request we will assemble your design. If there is any question regarding the information you submitted, we will call. The completed design will then be posted on a customer layout web page. A link to the page will be included in my reply email with your quote. Customer needs to click on the link to review the design. Note that there may be several designs on a web page. You may need to scroll down the page to view your design.

Email Notice

Due to many Email Defense Solutions, Spam Filters and Junk email programs set up by many Internet email providers, if you do not get a reply from us within 2 days of your request, please call 1-866-683-3044 to see if your request was received. Three most common errors that customers have if our reply does not get back to you.

	If you use AOL, Earthlink or Yahoo email, check your Junk/Bulk items folder
	If you are using a Company email address or Educational institution email address, some System Administrators block emails that contain links in them
	Is you mailbox full. You cannot receive reply if the box is full

Step #3 If changes are necessary, reply back to our quotation email.

Step #4 If design meets with your approval, follow instructions at top of customer layouts page.

We currently have 2 types of inserts for top of candles, 1 with a tea-light candle inserted in the top and the other with a glass oyster votive holder and votive candle inserted in the top. Replace only the tea-light or votive candle when it is done burning.

To the right is a view of the tea-light candle inserted in the top of the pillar. Available in both 3" round and 4" round pillars.

This special Birthday candle was made for my Dad. Instead of the traditional lighting of 79 candles, I decided to make it easy on Dad and only have 1 candle to blow out. If you count them, there are 78 candles in the image and the 1 tealight in the top.
